New Lightering Service.
[Own Correspondent.] Napier, September 26. A movement has been started with the object of forming a company for lightering vessels. It is proposed the capital shall be sufficient to purchase a steamer and lighters. The movement has arisen in consequence of dissatisfaction with the lighterage service carried on by Kinross and others. A number of leading importers have agreed to take shares in the venture, and to give the new company their custom.
