The Lofley Assault.
CAUSE-BEING A NEWSPAPER MAN. [Own Correspondent.] Napier, September 25. Lofley attributes the assault upon him at Tarawera to ill-feeling which has been existing for some time against him by the Constabulary, through their supposing him to be a newspaper correspondent.
