NEAV SOUTH WALES PARLIAMENT. [Reuter’s Telegrams) . Sydney, September 18. The Colonial Treasurer made a supplementary Financial Statement in the Legislative Assembly last night. He stated that the income of the colony was highly satisfactory and there was every reason to believe that the estimate of Custom’s receipts would be fully realised as well as the receipts from Stamps and Land Revenue. He announced that the loan for five millions sterling will shortly be placed on the market in London, and believed it could be offered with advantage at 3.( per cent. In the Legislative Assembly last night the motion by Mr. Buchanan in favor of the imposition of an ad valorem duly of 5 per cent, was negatived by 38 to 2. Melbourne, September 18.
Arrived, this morning : Union steamer Wairarapa, from Bluff. September 19. Mr. Service has readdressed the Premiers of the various colonies, urging that the question of annexation should be pushed forward, and that, if necessary. Mr. Gladstone should be addressed on the subject. Adelaide, September 17. Arrived, this afternoon : Orient steamship Iberia, with the inward mails, dated London, August 15. Intelligence is to hand from the Northern territory, that a party of police followed and came upon the blacks who recently attacked a party of miners, and that in the engagement which took place, four blacks were killed.
