Replying to Mr. Wilson, The Colonial Secretary said Government had no intention of at, present making any alteration in the constitution of the Council. Replying to Mr. Waterhouse, The Colonial Secretary said there was no interest due on bonds held as security by the Government Insurance Department. Replying to Mr. Wilson, The Colonial Secretary said Government were not prepared this session to take any steps towards increasing the salaries of Judges of the Supreme Court. Select Committee. A motion was carried for appointing a select committee to report upon securities in the several departments mentioned in the Revenue Act, 1878.
