Retail—Milk, 4d per quart; fresh butter, ks 6d, salt, lOd to Is; colonial cheese, 8d to 9d; eggs, Is per dozen; lard, 9d per lb.; fowls, 2s to 3s each; ducks, 2s to 3s; geese, 5s to 7s; turkeys, 5s to 8s 6d; bacon, lOd to Is; ham, Is to Is 4d.
