Hunter and Nolan’s Weekly Report. —Horses : There has- been a fair supply and improved demand, but no noteworthy alteration in value. Above an average number were submitted by auctiop at the Durham yards : competition was good throughout the sale and prices ruled in favor of the vendors, as compared with the previous week. Wool, hides, and skins were in short supply. Farm and Dairy Produce.—Butter: Fresh, Is 3d; salt, 8d to lOd; cheese : good local, 5d to 6Jd ; Canterbury, 5d to 6jd; eggs, per dozen, lOd; lard, per bladder, 7|d; bacon and hams (provincial), 6d to 8d; hams, 8d to 9d; Canterbury hams and bacon, 9d (in cloth); hams only lid; jams, per case of sdoz, £1 12s 6d to £1 15s 6d; fowls,-per pair, 2s 6d to 4s; feathers, baked, clean, and selected, Is 6d to Is 9d per lb. Retail—Milk, 4d per quart; fresh butter, ks 6d, salt, lOd to Is; colonial cheese, 8d to 9d; eggs, Is per dozen; lard, 9d per lb.; fowls, 2s to 3s each; ducks, 2s to 3s; geese, 5s to 7s; turkeys, 5s to 8s 6d; bacon, lOd to Is; ham, Is to Is 4d. Butcher’s Meat.—Retail —Roasting beef, 4d per lb ; boiling, 3d to 6d; mutton, hindquarter, 4d per lb; fore-quarter, 3d; lamb, 3s to 4s per quarter ; pork and veal, s|d to 7d; steaks, 6d to 8d; chops and sausages, 4d to 6d. Wholesale—Mutton tallow, 35s to 45s ; mixed do., 25s to 355.
