Chirp Post Opficr, Gfaborne For Auckland and Sydney, per Rotomahana, on Saturday, September 6th, at 7 p.m. For Napier, Wellington, and the South, also the Australian Colonies, per Wairarapa, on Friday, sth September at 8.30 p.m. For Napier and Wellington, per Southern Cross, on Thursday, September 4th, at 3 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies (via San Francisco), also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, the 12th Sept, at 2 p.m. Money orders and registered letters at 1 p.m. same day This mail is due in London on Oct. 25th.
The next steamer of the Orient Company leaves Melbourne on Sept. 19th. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by even’ steamer. This mail will be due in London on Nov. "th. The next inward European mail via San Francisco, is due at Gisborne on Friday, August 29th. The next steamer of the Orient line leaves Melbourne on September 19th. J. Shrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
