Tobacco Growing.
LARGE SUPPLIES WANTED. [Per United Press Association.) Auckland, August 29. The supply of locally grown tobacco is far short of the requirements of the local manu. factoring establishments, and supplies have to be got from elsewhere. Yesterday the Auckland Tobacco Company got 5,000 lbs. of cured leaf by way of Sydney from America, and the same company have a large supply of American and Havanna cured leaf on board the Aorangi, now on her way to New Zealand.
