PARLIAMENTARY.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 2G. Legislative Council. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Speaker announced that His Excellency had been pleased to appoint a quarter to three for receiving the Address-inßeply. The Council accordingly adjourned for the purpose of enabling the Speaker to attend Government House.

On resuming shortly afterwards, The Speaker announced that His Excellency had been pleased to receive the Address, and thanked the Council for its expression of loyalty. On the motion of Sir George Whitmore, the Council, at 3 p.m., adjourned till Thursday afternoon at the usual hour.
