The health authorities in San Francisco have taken ample precautions against a probable visit of the cholera, and their example is followed by all sea ports in the United States.

Mr. Parnell, deeming it not prudent to leave Ireland at the present time, the Irish National Parliament party will be represented at the Convention of the Irish National League of America, to be held in Boston on 13th August, by Thomas S. Sexton, and John E. Redmond, who goes on to Australia to lecture.

The arrest of the Cornwall secretary of the Irish post-office, who is charged with unnatural offences, has led to several other arrests, and to disgusting revelations. A despatch from Dublin, dated 3rd July, says that Johnstone and Little, implicated in the Cornwall scandal, have been arrested at Magherafort, and brought to the former place.

An enquiry into the case of James Ellis French (of the Royal Constabulary), arrested the proceeding week, charged with felonious practices in this matter, was privately conducted. The evidence was so revolting that the reporters were requested to withdraw.
