FUBTHEB LANDSLIPS IN AUCKLAND. (Peb Pbess Association.) Wellington, August 18. Mr. W. G. Holdsworth, until recently Commissioner of Crown Lands, died on Saturday night. Auckland, August 18. There was incessant rain all yesterday, and further serious landslips are imminent at Emily Place excavations, the scene of Friday night’s accident. A telegram from Te Aroha on Saturday reports that the Biver Waihou has flooded the lower township and was still rising.
