Upwards of 4 00 belonging to the Waimate Plains have left for their own hapus, and it is believed others will leave in a day or two. NEW TATTERSALL’S CLUB. The tower and concrete base are finished, but
three weeks will elapse before the fittings are complete. It is expected it will be lighted inside three weeks. MR. DICK. The Hon. Thos. Dick leaves for South on Monday next, LIBERAL DONATIONS. Oamaru, August 2. The Hon. R. Campbell has given £5O, and Mr, George Jones £2O, for bursaries in connection with the Waitaki high school.
