[reuter’s telegrams,] London, July 18. In the House of Commons to-day, in reply to a question, Mr. Gladstone stated that the financial experts have finished their deliberations, and that the Conference will resume sitting at an early date to consider their report, CHOLERA IN FRANCE. Paris, July 16. Cholera still continues to rage at Marseilles and Toulon with unabated vigor. Other parts of France are free from the epidemic. Cape Town, July 16. In the House of Assembly to-day Mr. Uppington, the Premier, gave notice of motion in favor of the annexation of Stelland (sec.) Zululand. Cairo, July 18. In consequence of a suspicion which is entertained by the authorities as to the fidelity of the native police now doing duty in this city, the strength of the British military police which are retained here for the mainenance of order have been materially strengthened. New York, July 18. News has been received that the search expedition has rescued the Arctic exploring vessel Greeley and six of her crew in Smith’s Sound, at the north of Baffin’s Bay.
