THIS DAY. . James Brown v. M. J. Gannon, Claim £3 15s for goods supplied. No appearance of defendant, Judgment for the amount, with costs 10s. Ingle v. Dalton. Claim £ll 7s. Gd. for rent. No appearance of defendant. Judgement by default with costs LI. Teat and Friar v. Carden, Claim Ll 9 2s. lid. for goods sold and delivered. Mr. Finn appeared for defendant, and said they denied ever receiving the goods or ever paying LlO on account for them as shown in the particulars of the plaint. The plaintiff, Friar, stated that the defendant was a part owner of a schooner called the Saucy Kate, and Miller, the Captain, came to his shop and bought the goods claimed, and paid £lO on account. The defendant came into the shop a short time after and asked for more goods, and stated that he would pay the account against Miller, Therefore they sued him for the amount. Mr. Finn asked to have the case adjourned for a week to produce the defendant himself. Adjourned accordingly. Parnell & Boylan v. Campbell, Claim £3 16s. Gd. on a judgment summons. An order was made that the amount should be paid, less £1 10s, which had been previously paid by the defendant, by monthly instalments of 10s. The first payment to be made on August Bth. In default two days imprisonment. H. Cannon v. J. Brown. Claim, £G 2s. Judgment for the amount with costs, 10s. J. Warren v. A. Cuff. Claim, £9 3s. 2d, on a judgment summons for County rates. An order was made that the amount be paid in one instalment by three months. In default nine days imprisonment. John Clarke v. W. Turangi. Claim, £5 10s. Mr. Brassev for plaintiff, and Mr. Whitcombe for defendant. Judgment was given for the amount claimed.
