FOOTBALL.—NEW ZEALAND v. NEW SOUTH WALES. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] Sydney, June 14. The New Zealand football team played the eighth and last match of their tour to-day in this city against a team representing New South Wales. An attempt was made by the local Rugby Union to put a stronger team into the field than was done in the foimer matches, but the New Zealanders again secured an easy victory, the score when time was called standing as follows: —New Zealand, three goals one try ; New South Wales, nil. In the first half of the game play was very fast, both sides showing about equal form; but in the second spell the local men tired greatly and succumbed to the vigor of their opponents. Messrs. Warbrick, Ryan, Robertson, and O’Connor particularly distinguished themselves all the afternoon by brilliant play. The weather was all that could be desired and the ground in capital order. The New Zealanders will be entertained at a banquet on Monday evening, when the chair will be taken by Mr. Barton, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
