TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,—Allow me to reply to the party who signs himself “ Truth,” re the vote of confidence given to Mr. Locke at the Makaraka meeting, to tell him that he is not speaking the truth. The vote of confidence was put and carried by a large majority, only 85 being against it, and they were all brought there for the purpose. The reporter of the Telephone knows this, and if “ Truth ” will read his report he will find it so.—I am, &c., The Truth.
