[reuter’s telegrams. - ] London, June 6. The steamship Florida, from Wellington (April 4), with a cargo of frozen meat, arrived here yesterday. The House of Commons re-assembled yesterday after the Whitsuntide holiday. DYNAMITERS IN SPAIN. Madrid, June 5. A serious dynamite explosion has occurred at Barcelona, where an attempt was made to commit a similar outrage last month. The explosion was caused by a dynamite cartridge which had been placed in the street. One person was killed, and the buildings near the spot were greatly injured, Bombay, June 6. Intelligence to hand from Lahore, in the Punjaub, that a Russian Jew, who is suspected to be a spy, has been arrested there in consequence of suspicious movements on his part. He has been conducted to Kurrachee Scinde, where it is expected he will be released on condition he leaves the country. Constantinople, June 6. The latest news from the Island of Crete reports that the disturbances between the Cretan Christians and the officials of the Porte have been arranged, and the state of affairs is now qhite pacific. In consequence of the settlement arrived at, Photides Pasha, who recently resigned the governorship of the island, has agreed to retain office.
