BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT. [most OUB OWN COBSBBPONDENT.] Auckland, June 6. At the Haymarket sale on Friday last fodder and straw were again offered in abundance, prices keeping well up to past values. Grain was in greater request and several lota offered found ready purchasers. A better class of horse stock was represented than for weeks past, and values snow improvement, unbroken colts realising £lB to £2l; draught, £2O to £3O; lighter class, £ll to £6. Hacks also sold at good values. On Tuesday the sale of fodder fully bus* tained the ruling rates. At the hide and skin sale the former were received in good supply and the prices reached were well up to former rates for the quality, although the class was somewhat inferior to late markets. Skins showed a marked improvement, and attained the value of 2s. lOd. Medium brought Is. 9d. to la. 10d.; long wool in grease, s}d. per lb. At Pukekohe, on Monday, a good number of cattle were yarded and there was a largo attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk, only one or two lots being withdrawn. At Bemuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were scarce. Those offered were eagerly competed for. Good cows fetched from £7 to £lO. The beef pens were well filled, and good cattle brought good prices, selling at fully 265. the lOOlbs. About 1,100 sheep were yarded, and sold freely at late values. Pigs were plentiful, with prices unaltered.
