Crowded Out. —Owing to the lengthy report of last night’s meeting, we are compnlled to crowd out many other items of interest. Tenders. —The Gas Company invite tenders for carting some of their plant, now arriving. Concert. —The concert in aid of the building fund of the Presbyterian Church, will be held to-night at McFarlane’s Hall, when we hope to see a good attendance. Auction. —On Tuesday next the 10th instant, Messrs. Graham Pitt and Bennett will sell the whole of Mr. J. Whinray’s goods, which consist of valuable drawing-room suites, and other furniture. Luncheon will be provided, and the sale will commence at 11.30. Football. —The match on Saturday will be Pakehas v. Maories. Players will notice that the team to play against Napier on June 28th, will be picked from those who play on the next two Saturdays, and a large muster is therefore required in orderthat good practice may be obtained. U.S.S. Service. — The Southern Cross anchored in the Bay early this morning from Auckland. She brought the cargo down which was carried on by the Manapouri on Sunday last, and the following passengers :—Messrs. Dodds, Horbeyer, and Richardson. She took her departure for Napier and Wellington, with the undermentioned passengers:— Mrs. Point, Messrs. Atkinson and R. Adams. The Waihora may be looked for to-morrow at noon from Auckland, and the Arawata on Sunday from South.
