[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Melbourne, June 2. Morgan, who was sentenced to death last month, for the murder of Margaret Nolan, a child of ten years, at Panmure in November last has confessed guilt, although he protested that he was innocent at the time that sentence was passed upon him. Arrived : The Union steamship Tarawera from the Bluff, this morning. Sydney, June 3. Owing to a warning received from Home, precautionary measures are now being taken for the protection of the local public buildings.
