(2J_ENTLEMEN, —I am a Candidate for the honor of representing this District in Parliament during the ensuing Session, and will take the earliest opportunity of addressing you at the various centres of population throughout the Electorate. I am, Gentleman, Your obedient servant, 127 M. J. GANNON. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE EAST COAST. — A contest to fill the vacant seat in Parliament for the East Coast Districts now being inevitable, I respectfully solicit your support to place me in the honorable position as your Representative. I believe you will give me full credit for being desirous of serving your best interests without in any way seeking to serve my own. I am identified with you by many ties which, I trust, will give me a fair claim to your votes at the coming election. I know the wants of the district. I feel how greatly these have been overlooked or altogether ignored. Should you return me upon your suffrages, no effort shall be wanting on my part to secure you full justice, and an equitable expenditure of the revenue in proportion to the importance of your many urgent requirements. For the rest you will have a public expression of my political opinions without any reservation, as I may address you from time to time from public platforms at the several centres of the electorate. Gentlemen, Believe me to be most sincerely, Your very obedient servant, 122 SAMUEL LOCKE.
