The weather was splendid and the Kensington Oval was crowded with spectators, by whom great interest was taken in the game. The visitors went in first and their innings closed for a total of 195. Mac Donnell, c 37, and Scott, c 11, being the highest scorers. The Home team then went to the wickets and as play closed for the dav their innings ended for 97 runs, towards which Mr. Akroyd was the highest contributor with 35.
