It is stated that Mr. Dwan, notwithstanding his late defeat, has decided to contest the Hutt seat at the next general election. Mr. Wason addressed the electors at Chertsey. As candidate for Ashburton he favors local railway boards, opposes land nationalisation and perpepctual leasing. Mr. Wason received a vote of thanks.
