(reuter’s telegrams.) THE EGYPTIAN DIFFICULTY. London, May 2. In the House of Commons to-day Sir Michael Hick’s Beach gave a notice of motion censuring Government for the delay which has occurred in the arrangements for rescuing General Gordon at the Garrison at Khartoum. MISSING STEAMER. The steamship, State of Florida, trading between Glasgow and America, is now several day overdue. The lifeboat, bearing the name of the vessel, has been picked up in the middle of the Atlantic. Much anxiety is felt regarding the fate of the passengers and crew. The well-known firm of Dalgetty, Ducroz and Co., General Merchant’s, Lombard Street, has been converted into a Joint Stock Company, with a capital of £4.000,000. (•■>■/<?.)
