BUCKLAND’S WEEKLY REPORT. [from our own correspondent.] Auckland, April 25. At the Haymarket on Friday fodder ranged from 2s. 6d. to ss. per cwt., but the greater part between 3s. 6d. and 4s. Horse stock were yarded in full number, and there was a numerous attendance. Good farm mares brought from £l6 to £26 each ; inferior stock at all prices. At the Haymarket on Tuesday there was a full muster of hides. Prices for best quality ranged from 3d. to 3fd.; fat and tallow, from 255. to 275. per cwt.; skins from 7d. to 2s. 7d. each.; wool, 44d. to 5Jd. per lb. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle near calving maintained their lately improved value; store cattle were in full number, and somewhat better enquiry; fat cattle in usual number, but a large proportion of indifferent quality; these were at low value—not more than 165., but fat cattle of good quality were in demand at 20s. to 21s. per 100 lbs. Sheep were plentiful, and lower about Is. each. Lambs were also dull of sale, and lower in prices. Calves in moderate number, and at late values. Pigs, both fat and store, were plentiful, and in good demand at full values.
