Sir James Martin, Chief Justice, has been taken ill while on circuit, and has been obliged to return to his residence here. THE MARQUIS OF NORMANBY. Melbourne, April 21. The steamship Liguria arrived yesterday from Melbourne, the Marquis and Marchioness of Normanby and suite being among the passengers. The Marchioness’s health is now much improved, and the Vice-regal party will proceed by the steamship Australia for ’Frisco on Thursday. According to Mauritius advices of the 4th inst. the exports of sugar this season to New Zealand ports has exceeded 9,000 tons. The stock of sugar in hand is estimated at 25,000 tons.
