[Reuter’s Telegrams.] A DOUBTFUL HONOR DECLINED. Cairo, April 17. Intelligence has been received from Khartoum that General Gordon had decided to appoint Zebehr Pasha to the position of Assistant-Governor in the Soudan, but that Zebehr has declined to accept the post.
