THE Cook County Council is desirous of placing itself in communication with a Company, or Capitalist, who may be willing to construct a line of Railway in the County of Cook, in terms of the District Railways Act, 1877-83, or otherwise, as may be thought advisable. Every facility to acquire the necessary data as to County traffic, &c., will be given on application to Mr. Geo. J. Winter, Engineer to the Council, Gisborne. The length of the first section required is 11 miles, commencing at the Port of Gisborne. Communications are requested to be sent in not later than the Bth May, 1884. W. K.
