[from our own correspondent.] BUCKLAND’S WEEKLY REPORT. Auckland, March 21. At the Haymarket on Friday last fodder was in better enquiry than the previous week, and prices ranged from 3s. 6d. to 4s. 6d. per cwt. Oats, 2s. 9d. per bushel. Horse stock were offered in full number, and met with a steady sale. Good farm horses were in steady enquiry at prices ranging from £l6 to £3O. On Tuesday hides were pitched in full number, and maintained the improved prices of last week, ranging from 3d. to 4£d. per lb., the greater part selling at 3£d. to 3fd. Tallow, 255. 6d. to 295. 6d. per cwt. Pelts and skins, from 7d. to 2s. Id. each. Wool (in bales) from 5Jd. to 6d. per lb. At Pokeno on Monday very few cattle were yarded, but at Drury on Wednesday there was an unusually large muster of grazing cattle, and a numerous attendance of buyers from Waikato, Mangare, and the immediate neighborhood. Three to four-year steers ranged from £3 10s. to £4 12s. 6d. each. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows at calving were better worth. A few store cattle were yarded. Fat cattle in full numbers, but many of them were of indifferent quality. For those the return would be unsatisfactory, but choice animals in some instances reached 255., but the market was very irregular, and the greater number of good cattle were at 225. the 1001 bs. Fat calves were forwarded in unusual numbers, but sold well throughout. Fat sheep in average supply, and although dull of sale were at late values. A moderate market of fat lambs sold briskly at prices varying from Ils. to 15s. each. Pigs of good quality were abuudant; above 200 sold ; they were in good demand, and sold satisfactorily. Averages were—B steers, S. Steele, £8 16s. 7d.; 24 steers, A. A. Company, £8 ; 16 steers, A. J. Barton, £8 3s. 9d.; 15 steers, T. Parkinson, £7 18s. 6d.; 8 steers, E. Allen, £7 2s. Id.; 8 steers, R. Fisher, £6 145.; 77 lambs, A. Gubbins, 14s. 6d.; 39 lambs, J. Way, 12s. 6d.; 19 lambs, C. Davy, 13s. 6d.; 28 pigs, Te Awamutu Cheese Factory, 28s. each.
