Spurious goods are being condemned wholesale lately, consignments of tea and spirits shipped to several Melbourne firms having been challenged under the New Public Health Act, have been sent whence they came—tea and brandy to Sydney, whisky to Adelaide, and port wine to Hamburg. The way in which the Governorship of this “ blue-ribbon” Colony, diplomatically speaking, is being hawked, is causing much annoyance, as we think it ought to be regarded as a prize worth winning.
