[from our own correspondent.] BUCKLAND’S WEEKLY REPORT. Auckland, March 7. At the Haymarket on Friday, fodder was abundant and prices ranged from 2s 6d to 4s for meadow, and from 3s to 4s 3d for oaten hay and sheaves. Oaten chaff brought from 4s 6d to 5s the cwt.; rye-grass seed 5s the bushel. Hone stock were in usual number, and maintained their values, good medium draught ranging from £lB to £25 each. On Tuesday there was also a full muster of fodder earth, which sold at fully Friday’s rates. Hides and skins on Tuesday were in usual supply. Hides sold fully Id per lb. dearer than for many weeks. Fair good quality brought from 31s 2d to 41s 4d the lb. pelts, and skins were at late values and brought from lOd to Is lid each ; tallow, 24s and 27s fid the cwtf long*wool, 41s 2d to 51s 2d; fine wool, 57s 8d to 7s the lb. At Waikua on Saturday there was a full muster of stock, and there was good enquiry for dairy cows; store cattle were at late Values; ewes brought 10s ; lambs, 8s 6d each. -At Pukekohe on Monday there was an unusually full muster of cattle and full attendance of buyers, and good prices ranged throughout the sale. At the sale of stock at the farm of the late W. K. Taylor the implements sold freely at fall values. The ewes were all full-mouthed, and brought from 6s fid to 10s 9d, averaging Da; lambs* 6s each. At Retnuera on Thursday dairy cows of Moderate quality were yarded in full number, and barely maintained last week’s values. Store cattle were dull of sale; aged cows, in fair store condition, sold at £lO each: fat cattle were in less than usual number, and taet with a very irregular sale. Prices were highest at the commencement, and at the conclusion of the sale ranged from 18s to 22s the lOOlbs. Sheep were in usual number, and slightly better worth ; fat calves were in better demand; few fat lambs were yarded, and these brought extreme prices, from 14s to 17b each; pigs were also in steady demand at late values. Averages were— B steers, R. Fisher, £8 Ils 8d; steers, E. B. Walker, £7 Gs 8d; steers, E. Allen, £6 15s 8d; steers, J. Howel], £5 los; 6 cows, Grice and Parker, £5 7s 6d ; 360 wethers, Bailey, 14s 9d ; 140 ewes, J. C. Firth, 14s | 58 ewes, Paton Rros., Ils 9d.
