R. M. COURT, GISBORNE.
(Before J. Booth, Esq., R.M.) YESTERDAY. Civil Cases. eask v. p. cooper. Claim, £BO 17s. lid. Mr. Robinson for the plaintiff, said that in the absence of the defendant he must ask the Court to make an order. The defendant had recently been buying shares in severals blocks of land. He (Mr. Robinson) would ask for an order under Sub-section 1 of the Debtors Act. Mr. Robinson was then sworn, and stated that, having searched the Trust Commissioner’s books, he found that Cooper had purchased shares in several blocks of land in November, April, and May, 1883. Under these circumstances he would ask for an order. The Court made an order that half the amount be paid in a month, and the remainder in three months, in default two months’ imprisonment. Costs, £2 2s. CLEMENTS V. NEAGLE. Claim, £l5 17s. Mr. Nolan for the plaintiff. Judgment for £l3 ss.,being the amount claimed less £2 12s. deducted for drinks supplied. Costs, £2 7s. DEVERY V. MAKAOI. Claim, £l4 ss. Judgment by consent for the full amount, less costs.
