[by electric telegraph —COPYßlGHT.] [Reuter’s Telegrams.] Melbourne, Feb. 18. Mr. Murray was elected on Saturday as representative in the Legislative Assembly for Warrnambool, vice the late Mr. J. G. Francis, Hobart, Feb. 18. The death is announced of the Hon. Thos. Daniel Chapman, President of the Legislative Council. Sydney, Feb. 18. On Saturday the match between the Australian Eleven who go to England and a Combined Eleven was continued. The Team having made 318 in their first innings, the Combined went in for their first, which closed for 222, the largest scorer being Jones, who made 88. Being 96 behind their opponents, they went in for their second innings, and had lost four wickets for 42 when the stumps were drawn. The match is being continued to-day.
