[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.} Auckland, Feb. 15. Alfred Buckland’s weekly report, at the Haymarket, on February Bth—Fodder ranged from 3s. 9d. to ss. 3d; maize, 3s. 44. the bushel. Horse stock were at late values; heavy draught steck ranged from £25 to £4O; Ordinary hacks from £9 to £l5; inferior from 80s. upwards. On Tuesday a larger than usual quantity of fodder obtained similar prices to those ruling on the Friday. At the hide-and-skin sale on the 12th hides brought from 133. 4d. to 31s. 2d.; sheep-skins and pelts from 4d. to 2s. sd. each; wool from 41s. 2d. to 575. 84. the lb. At Reinuera on Thursday dairy cattle were in full number and good demand ; prices ranged fi om £6 to store cattle dull of sale at lower values ; fat cattle in average supply, and the market showed a firmer tone than for several weeks, prices being steady throughout; steers brought from 225. to 235. per IOOIbs, but cows were at lower values; fat sheep were yarded in less than usual numbers, but enquiry was dull, and no improvement obtained on past week’s prices; store-saeep buyers were more numerous than for some time, and they showed some improvement in price; lambs abundant, and scarcely maintained last week’s values; pigs were numerous and in steady demand at Satisfactory prices.
