(Before J. Booth, Esq., 8.M.) EATUBDAY. DUI’AUB Ab'D CO. V. B. TOWBEV. This was a claim for £4 Us. 6di Mr. Kenny appeared for the defendant; The defendant, who was brought up on 8 speedy summons, is well known to most people in the Bay, the majority of our trades, people having enjoyed a large share of hie confidence and attention during his recent visit, and considerable anxiety was mani. tested at his sudden departure; On being placed in the box and interrogated as to his means, it was found that the defendant had nothing beyond the sum of £4 10s., due and owing him from Mr, Hegarty, to whose troupe he is at present attached; After administering a well-merited rebuke . for his living in such an extravagant niariner; his Worship directed the defendant to make out an order on Mr. Hegarty for the amount. This having been done, some difficulty arose as to the apportionment of the £4 10s., there being two other summonses against the defendant-—viz., Mr. Davis, for the sum of £4 195., and Mr. Searle, for £1 18s. Of course, Mr. Chrisp had priority of claim, but he generously put an end to all difficulty by agreeing that the £4 10s. should be divided pm rata amongst the three plaintiffs. His Worship then made the following awards :—Duiaur and Co., £1 10s,; Davfe; £2; and Hearle, £l, This closed the business of the Court fer the day. . . . - ,
