TRUST COMMISSIONER’S COURT.
(Before Jas. Booth, Esq., T. 0.) Manoahc No. 1 Block. This was an applioatian for Trust Commissioner’s certificate to a deed of lease from Wi Haronga and others to T. E. B. Bloomfield. Mr. W. Bees appeared in support of the application, and Mr. Bobinson for the object tor, Mr. A. Cuff. It appeared from the arguments that Mr. Bloomfield purchased from the Natives, and arranged with Mr. Joshua Cuff as to his interest. Mr. Robinson objected on the part of Mr. Arthur Cuff, on the grounds of a prior deed, and said the Commissioner could not attach his certificate to a second deed where a first one existed. Mr. Bees, in supporting the application, thought that if a Commissioner refused hie certificate on the ridiculous grounds stated by Mr. Bobinson, he would be guilty of conniving at something like a fraud. If the objectors felt aggrieved, let the Trust Commissioner’s certificate be withheld until statutory declarations were made, and the Supreme Court appealed to, The Commissioner thought this would be the best course to take under the existing circumstances. He thought it a case where an arrangement would be advisable. Mr. Bees said, for himself, he thought an arrangement might be made. He had no authority for saying so, but such would be the best course, The case was adjourned until February llth, in order that statutory declarations might be made.
