Fair Wave was supposed to be one.of the grandest Arab mares ever imported to New Zealand. Nkw Chum has shown his good breeding both on the turf and at the stud. He made his first appearance in Wellington, where he started in a two and-a-iodf mile race, weight for age, beating Whitefoot, Gazelle, and others. Then went to Napier, where he was beaten by Never Miss by a head, New Chum carrying 211bs over, Never Miss beating Lady Grey and others. He then saddled for the Consolation, beating Wairarapa, Lady Grey and Wide awake. Terms, £3 10s each mare. Two or more mares, the property of the same owner, as per agreement.
