NEW CHUM is now 9 years old, with plenty of power, and a rure foal getter. He was bred by Mr Donald Fra»er, Kangitikei, by Traducer, aarn Fair Lass, by Riddlesworth, grand dam Fair Wave, imported from Sydney. Fair Wave was supposed to be one of the grandest Arab mares ever imported to New Zealand. New Ciivm has shown his good breeding both on the turf and at the stud. He made his first appearance in Wellington, where he started in a two and-a-linlf mile race, weight for age, beating Whitefoot, Gazelle, and others. Then went to Napier, where he was beaten by Never Mi«s by a head, New Chum carrying 2libs over, Never Miss beating Lady Grey and others. He then saddled for the Consolation, healing Wairarapa, Lady Grey and Wide-awake. Terms, £3 10s each mare. Two or more mares, the property of the same owner, as per agreement.
