THE STRANDING OF THE “TRIUMPH.”
(Per Press Association). Auckland, Dec. 5. The stranded steamer Triumph is not expected to be got off. Her position to-day is extremely critical. The forehold is full of water. There are six feet iu the secoud compartment, and five feet in the stokehole. The crew left her lust night aud camped under canvas in Tiritiri. Capt. Brotherton is iu Auckland. The weather is very unsettled.
