LICENSED INTERPRETERS’ SOCIETY.
A meeting of Licensed Interpreters was held m the offices of Air Ferris, on Thursdajj aiternoon. Present : — Captain Porter Lhe chair) and Messrs Jones, McKay, Bakel Ferris, Gannon, Mackay, Greene, rm Dalton.
The minutes of the previous meeting haS ing been read and ccntirmed, a diauussiol took place on the draft rules, which wurr passed after sundry alterations had been made.
Mr Mackay was duly elected Secretary, pro tem. A resolution was passed authorising the secretary to have the amended draft rules printed, and to forward a copy of the same to all the Licensed Interpreters in the Colony. The draft of a circular, which it is intended to forward to all Licensed Interpreter asking them to join, and stating the general objects and aims of the society, was next considered, and passed with instructions to the secie<.aiy to get the same printed and uuly distributed.
The Chairman informed the meeting that lie would prim the rules and circulars free of all charge. A cordial vote of thanks to the Chairman and to the beoretary closed the proceedings.
