He made his first appearance in Wellington, where he started in a two and-a-lodf mile race, weight, for age, beating Whitefoot, Gazelle, and others. Then went to Napier, where he was beaten by Never Mi-s by a head, New Chum carrying 211bs over, Never Miss beating Lady Urey and utlie* s.
