HOSPITAL MEETING.

Trb usual monthly meeting of the GUborne Hospital Committee wee held last night at the Court House.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

The Treasurer', report was next read, recommending that the outstanding accounts br paid by the .übsidy, which is expected to arrive by the boat on Monday next. Also a letter from the Colonial Secretary, stating that a voucher for £lB2 8s 2d subsidy had been passed for the Gisborne Hoepital. The report was adopted. The monthly report was as follow, i—Admitted, 8 j discharged, 7. Cash received during lhe month £2 12s.

Arrangement, had been made for the payment of four patients, but none for the other four.

There were throe in tho Hospital at pre ■ent.

A discussion here took place on the report, but nothing of importance wao transacted.

The Chairman and Secretary wished to know how they could be called upon to pay thia account, which wa, for timber for the erection of the fence of the contract entered into with Mr Bull. Their had not made the contract, but the Mayor, tho Chairman of the Cook County Council, and the Ven. Archdeacon Williams, who were the Committee of tho Hospital ground. Mr NoUn said that he knew Mr Bull would back out of hie contract now if he possibly could. The account wa, ultimately passed after further deliberation, as the timber had been supplied.

Mr j. Erskine, 18, 5d ; AialabU, £5 8s; Warder, £8 6s 8d ; Domestic, £3 5s ; Teat & Fryer, £l2 3s 6d, and £1 5s ; H. Bull, 9s 9d, and 8s for vegetables. The Chairman said he understood that Mr Bull was to supply the Hoepital with vegetables according to his agreement. It was decided to hold the account over. G. W. Bishop, £l6 14s 6d ; W. 0. Skeet, £4 10s.

The requirements for the ensuing month were decided to be left to the Visiting committee to arrange. With regard to remuneration to be given to the Secretary, Mr W. Adair proposed that a bonus of £25 a year be granted. Mr Nolan agreed to that if the bonus was to be given up to the end of the financial year. Ho would propose that. The Chairman thought that a bonus of £25 should be given. Thia was decided on.
