Captain William Jackson Barry, whose advent in the Bay we announced in our last issue, has decided to favour us with one of hie entertaining lectures in McFarlane’s Hall on Monday evening next. We have been favored with a perusal of the Captain’s po»tfolio, and judging from the criticisms t heir contained, his merits as a lecturer stand unrivalled. The London Times and till the Press of the c< 1 my speak in the highest terms of hie abilities and powers. He has been drawing crowded houses in every town he hat visired, and our exchanges fully justify us in strdngly advising our readers not, on any account, to miss this favorable opportun* ity of hearing him.
