Chirp Post Opftcb. Gisborne For Napier, Wellington, and the South, also the Australian Colonies, per Rotorua, on Saturday, November 10th, at 8.30 p,m. For Auckland and Sydney, per Manapouri, on Satur day, November loth, at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and West Indies via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, Decembei 7th at 8 p.m. Money orders may be obtained and ’etters registered until 8 p.m. same day. This mail will be due in London on the January 10th, 1884.
The next steamer of the Orient Company leaves Melbourne on Nov. 30th. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vis., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by WaUion. 1 a' ing Gisborne on November 16th. This mail will be due in London on January Bth, 1884. Not*-—Money orders should be obtained, and letters registered one hour before the time of closing any Mail. The letter receiving boxes at Mr East’s upper store and Mr McKay’s store, are cleared daily at noon ; and one hour before the advertised time of closing seaborn f> mails at the Post Office. On Friday, November 9th, the Prince of Wales’ Birthday, the Post Office will be closed, and the Telegraph Office open only from 9 to 10 a.m. J. buaiMFivN, Chief Postmaster.
