PROFITS OF GAS COMPANYS.
Gas shares have always commanded high rates of premium, and the following quotations of dividends last paid by the several gas compmies throughout New Zealand will be indisputable evidence of great profits attached to gas making operations, and will be of especial interest to many of our readers who are associated with the local company
The gas works m Dunedin, Invercargill, Nelson, and Oamaru, belong to the respective corporate bodies in those towns, and are remunerative. In addition to the above dividends, bonuses have in several instances been distributed, and reserve funds accumulated. We hope the time is not far distant when the Gisborne Gas Company will rank among the best dividend paying concerns in the colony.
