(From our own Correspondent.) LONDON, October 39, It is stated that Mr Gladstone will spend the winter at Cannes, in the South of France. October 30. The proposal of Tawhiao, the Maori King, to pay a visit to England, has been brought under the notice of the Secretary of Slate for the Colonies. Lord Derby it is announced, has addressed a despatch to Sir William Jervois, requesting information regarding the Maori King nnd asking his opinion on the subject nf Tawbiao’s proposed visit.
