The catalogue comprised 2,020 bales, of which 1,970 were sold at very satisfactory prices, American buyers especially competing for better sorts with much spirit. Bto 1 against First Demon ... 10 — 1 against Aide-de-Camp ... 12 — 1 against Le Grand ... 12 —1 against Little is doing on the Derby—Sardius is firm at 8 to 1. Fiv and Sportsman has been scratched for the Melbourne C< p.
