The illuminated epetinens of Heraldry and the five water-colors bf Mr Ballantynp are good specimens of that gentleman’s welbknown artistic abilities. Miss J. Greenwood’s “ Californian scene ” shows considerable merit. Air G, Morrow’s illumination “ Ceade Mille Failthe ” is a beautiful specimen ef the art of which that gentleman is such a clever master. The painted bracket drape and cushion is also highly complimentary to Mrs E H Featou

The two cosies and mantle drape by Mrs Armstrong and the two wraatlis of cloth flowers by Airs Beere are very good. The floral bracket and mantle drape is well worthy of mention, us is also a fine knitted quilt and crewel work specimen by Airs J Bourke. The fender stool, two bracket drapes and cushion display a large amount of skill and merit on the part of Miss Porter. The Arrasene drape and bracket by Airs W O Skeet and the cushion in crewel and braiding by Mrs Murohij are also very pretty indeed. There are also a number of other specimens which show a large amount of skill and industry on the part of some ladies, which, on account of the faulty construction of the catalogue we are unable to ascertain whether they arc the work or only the exhibits of the names attached—such, for instance, as the inacramu drape, lace work, &c, in the name of Miss Nesbitt

On Tuesday night and last night, the building was crowded with visitors. Last night a most pleasant evening was passed, there being plenty of music, several ladies and gentlemen singing songs, with Air J. K. Scott officiating at the piano. We are extremely glad to see the exhibition is doing so well, and at the end of the season hope to hear that something handsome has been realized.
