On our fourth page will be found the account of the assault on the proprietor of tho “Free Lance.” The Sable Orphans held another rehearsal last night. The progress they have made is most surprising, and we look forward to their first public performance with a large amount of expectation. A most admirable selection of sweet ballads have been culled, and a new and original farce, bristling with local hits, from the pen of a well-known local humourist, gives promise of one of the greatest treats ever heard in this town.
