LONDON, October 10, It has transpired that Sir Evelyn Wood, Commander of the British Army in Egypt, is favorable to the withdrawal of the bulk of the troops at an early date, and has expressed his willingness to be answerable for order in the country with the native troops. PARIS, October 10, Information has been published here that a fresh treaty has been concluded between France and the Kingdom of Cambodia, adjoin ing French colony of Cochin-Chipa, and has been under the French Procterato since 1862. The present treaty cedes to France all revenues arising from indirect taxation, and re-afflrms the Protectorate enjoyed by France over the kingdom. Latest intelligence from Zululand states that Usibequ, the powerful chief who defeated Cetewayo, has demanded that the latter be compelled to quit the country MADRID, October 10. It has transpired that a demand was made to the French Government for a further reparation than that already accorded by President Grevy’s apology to the insult offered to King Alfonso in Paris. The demand having been refused by the French Government, King Alfonso has required that further action should be taken in the matter, but the Spanish Ministry have been unable to agree that such a course is necessary, and the Premier, Senor Sagosta, has tendered to His Majesty the resignation of himself and colleagues.
