BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Borough Council, which was to have been held at the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening, lapsed for want of a quorum. His Worship, E. K. Brown, and Crs Townley, Lewis, Joyce and Hepburn were present. After waiting the full half hour His Worship declared the meeting lapsed. According to the provisions of the Municipal Coporation Act, another meeting will be called for Friday evening.
